Brett Kyle

Brett Kyle obtained his degree in chemistry and began working in the plastics industry for Dow Chemical learning about injection molding and extrusion technology. As a technical service chemist, he sought better ways to support his customers and thereby began his journey in continuous improvement. Initially he sought the tools of experimental design to help identify issues and support the implementation of effective solutions. As he continued to support manufacturing operations and customers in the rubber and automotive industries, he added additional learnings and training, and eventually became a certified Six Sigma Black and Lean Expert.
As Brett gained experience and demonstrated his creativity, innovative thinking, decision-making, and coaching and mentoring skills, he became a sought-after leader and teacher of continuous improvement methodologies. Brett went on to become a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and began to teach and mentor others in the organizations where he practiced. He went beyond traditional manufacturing industries and effectively integrated these strategies in the food and retail industries, and across many other functional areas including manufacturing, Finance, HR, and Logistics.
Brett has also earned a Bachelor of Adult Education in order to further support his work, and is currently pursuing a CTDP certification with the Institute of Performance and Learning. Brett is the author of Effective Industrial Experimentation, published by VCH and is an avid runner and triathlete. In his spare time he enjoys music, gardening, camping and many other outdoor activities.
